Deeply connected to the river and the communities of Camas and Washougal in southwest Washington, Hyas Point gives a respectful nod to the enduring appeal of the past while standing above the rest with quality to match the best-in-class expectations of a true destination.
Working directly with local tribal representatives, RKm Development and the Port of Camas-Washougal sought to honor the location’s deep history of First Nations communities, the age-old human connection to the river and the Gorge, as well as the current, living artistry that continues through to the present day and beyond. Each building is named to pay homage to local endangered languages and mythologies. The individual marks pull from the same defining visual style as Hyas Point, paired with distinctive architectural features of each structure.
