Beginning in 1987 with only a small group of drivers along the main highway, Island Transit started with little more than folks waving down the bus and hopping on. Now, spanning nearly all of Whidbey and Camano Islands in Puget Sound, and stretching by vanpool extension all the way to Seattle and Everett, the system was ready for a bright new brand to match its future reach.
